Hot football game: LSU polo, khaki shorts, sneakers, LSU baseball cap of some sort, iPod with radio attachment and headphones tuned to game, sunglasses.
Cold weather game: LSU pullover, khaki pants, sneakers or boots, LSU baseball cap of some sort, iPod with radio attachment and headphones tuned to game.

half of the slowhio fans at the MNC all had jerseys on, I think its more of a northern thing

Why would a jersey not be considered acceptable?? If anything, I would consider it to be more acceptable than a yellow or purple polo(at least the ones that don't have LSU on them). I usually wear a pair of shorts with my LSU t-shirt and a jersey over it. I have worn it to every single home game I've gone to in the last 3 years, haven't seen any problem with it.
