What do you think happened to the Yuba County 5?

All theories seem to point to Mathias being involved in the death of the other 4. His body was never found, but shoes were in the trailer. He was schizo, but not mentally deficient like the others.
I’m curious about the old man who had a heart attack and heard whistles and saw lights (presumably from the boys) when seeking help. Was there really a mysterious woman with a baby amongst the boys?
This is one of the most fascinating unsolved cases I’ve read about. Curious what you all think went down.
