re: What do you Shreveport Baws think about 50 Cent? He seems to be investing a lot in city.

I support it. I mean would I rather have Bezos set up a Amazon corporate office? Yeah.

But 50 cent is revitalizing a lot. Even built a dome downtown. Amazon is opening 2 fulfillment centers.

Shreveport has been shrinking since 1990. Hopefully it increases again. Most are moving to East of red river

If 50 can single handedly turn the city around and raise property values much like that home makeover show did in Waco, Texas, I'd be happy.

My parents house will eventually be part in my name and more money for it would be nice.

I get what you’re saying, but I’d rather my area be in the need for road repairs instead of waiting for long-promised road building. I imagine strong connections in D.C. through Russell Long and J. Bennett Johnston are responsible for I49, 220, and 3132 in the first place. Maybe Speaker Johnson can pull himself away from Ukraine and get some federal dollars directed at repairing roads in his hometown.

Honestly, this is the only way to improve Louisiana. The state government isn't going to do anything on its own. So if someone can come in, invest in these properties for relatively cheap, clean things up, work with the local government and get crime reduced in the city, especially in the areas that has been invested in. Get some attractions to the city, build apartments and get people to move into the city, increase the property value then that's one hell of a payoff.

Hopefully it will inspire other people to invest in other parts of the state. Cities like New Orleans need some big money people to invest in it so people with resources can keep the city government in check.
