are you working out of majors?

I worked all the liquor stores out there. Unless there’s one I don’t know about, you’ll have to go to rockwall.

If I was to get the position, I would be attached to Barksdale or NAS Carswell... Hit up the shoppette each time I go. I'm sure we'd go at least once a month just for the commissary.

Looks like Rockwall is expensive

How much does $2k a month get you out there?

Greenville is not a meth town. There’s enough stores in Greenville so you don’t have to leave it during the week. Rockwall has enough to keep you busy on the weekends. You are 30 minutes from Lake Ray Hubbard and an hour from downtown dallas.

Rockwall is on the cheaper side of dfw suburbs.

If you value being able to do more than 20 things, you’ll want to look there.

Greenville is basically one main drag, Wesley street/hwy 34 going north south. You’ve got hwy 69 that divides it going east west. North of 69 is pretty poor and ghetto with downtown being a decent stereotypical east Texas downtown. Landon winery and bistro is a cool spot to eat and drink some local wine.

South of 69 is more of a suburban feel with your chain restaurants and such. Definitely a nicer area overall, but I still wouldn’t live there. Along I30 is just chain and shopping central which is to be expected.

Yeah it is. A huge one. The whole area is and has been for decades, albeit slightly better now.

No, no it’s not. Quinlan is a meth town.

There was a big bust just last year in Greenville.

Yeah quinlan and tawakoni are way worse, but Greenville certainly has a lot of meth there.

Wife and I, on occasions, take that route home-I hate driving in Metroplex traffic-and we stop and shop for a couple of hours, antique

He was born in Neylandville (Robert Neyland of Tennessee) on his family's plantation between Greenville and Commerce. Hmm.

Here's the sign that used to hang over the main drag until the late 60s:

Royse City has one of the best craft beer shops in the entire Dallas metro oddly enough right on Main St. They just got a full liquor license about 1.5yrs ago and carry some nice bottles too. A little high on prices but for the selections they have and ease of access it's a nice treat.
Ive lived on some property here in Rockwall county for about 6 years and this place has exploded. Greenville is still an old country town feel, pretty laid back. I like going there from time to time but not sure Id live there.
With Buccees and the minor league baseball team coming to Royse City in April, I dont think the sprawl is slowing down anytime soon.
