Depends on where you live and how many dependents you have. Anytown Louisiana with an average sized family, high five figures will get you there easily. BR or Nola, $150k. Major urban area, $350k and up.

I even stated that I don't view myself as upper middle class, which is why I had a problem with some of the lower numbers put out there.

if it makes you feel better the professor explained that majority of population identifies themself as lower-middle class and a very small percentage of them truly would be considered such
