Run a family owned 7 figure retail based business. I fricking despise it with a passion & am not exaggerating when I say I hate going to work everyday. The only that gets me through my work week is the fact that I'm the sole inheritor of the company - when that point comes I'm either selling everything, or taking a few million of equity out & throwing it into some form of large real estate investment. Regardless never working another day when that time comes.
Side deal - closing on my first rental property this month, plan is to turn that into a substantial real estate portfolio.

Process Operator in my early 20s
Great pay, great benefits, very little physical work, shitty schedule. Plenty of future opportunities to move up and get away from shift work. My choice if I want to work 1000 hours of overtime a year or less than 200.
I’ll probably retire very comfortably at 55

Sales and marketing for years focusing on advertising and magazine business until I got an opportunity to get into radio/TV in the fishing industry.
Now do the the largest fishing/outdoor radio show in Florida. Money could be better though the perks are awesome and the stress level is way down.

what public wetlands work are you doing that is not working for the USACE?
I've dabbled in delineations and credits work. Not really for me. I prefer digging holes and remediation work.

EE in the MEP field.
Unless you're absolutely brilliant, if you go into med school without a passion for it, then you're probably going to fail. Competition is going to be fierce and you're going to be competing against some a lot of the smartest people out there. I may have missed it, but what are you graduating in?
