For the record, if you want to drink after work, more power to you. No judgment here.

But to answer your question: exercise.

It’s pretty easy as long as you drink in moderation. I don’t even know the last time I had a hangover and I probably drink 5 days out of the week.

I play with my kids and exercise. I fell into the drinking after work trap and it wasn’t leading down the right path. Had to make a change.

If you are not spending the time with your wife and she is not drinking as much as you- try helping with housework. Do the dishes or laundry, exercise and get in shape, pay her a few compliments and you may find some new activities to fill your evenings

Exercise helps the most in my experience. If I work til 6:00 or so, work out for an hour, shower, make and eat dinner, it’s 8:30 before I know it. I usually use that time to hang with my wife, watch TV, read, browse the internet, and/or look through work emails if needed. In bed by 10 on weeknights most of the time.
