Not because I don't want to, but not sure I can. Anyone who has one can attest this is the heaviest TV ever created. I swear it must be 150+lbs.

It's like they made them out of lead

trinitron

Used to work for a moving company, and these mother frickers are SO heavy. We used to dread moving them worse than any other TV. It's because for whatever damn ridiculous reason there is a solid piece of lead underneath the screen that literally does probably weigh close to 150 lbs. by itself.

I got rid of a 32 inch Samsung a few years ago in a yard sale. This was probably 5-6 years ago, and flatscreens were still relatively expensive. I think I got $200 for it, and had to help the lady load it in her SUV. And by that, I mean manhandle the thing by myself while she got out of the way. It was 165 lbs. We bought it for an apartment we were living in, then moved it to a townhouse into a built in cabinet above the fireplace, that was a pain, and then to the house we're in now. Those things were a beast. I probably should have just kept it for the basement, but by the time I already had it down there and someone actually wanted it, I let it go.

Some Goodwills won't even take tube TVs anymore.

The only folks I've heard of who want them are some hardcore retro gamers. I guess they still dig on Pong and shite.

Go on craigslist and post it in the FREE section. I have gotten rid of so much crap that wouldn't fit in my trash can. You'd be surprised how many people will be racing to get in line for that throwback TV of yours.

Yep, it's a must for old school gaming. Google it!

I have two myself that I use for such things.

I worked part time selling tv's while in school. Would tell people they were delivery only so I didn't have to get them down.

ETA: those 36" Sony tvs

The ones in New Orleans won't. They won't even take non-console type tube TVs.

Unless you drop it off after hours.

Brought it a needy family. They asked for food but I figured an old television is just as good

You serious? I have one in my storeroom. That would get me a lot of lead for reloading.
