Bluebird Buses is headquartered in Macon, Ga. Until a year ago it was in Ft. Valley, Ga. The plant still is there.

All of the northwest Arkansas corps fit the bill. The entire area is a few hundred thousand so it isn’t really really small.
It is like suburbia without a large fading central city in the middle of them.
You already know all that but maybe some of the other folks don’t. Even lumped together I bet it ranks high among metros of its size in terms of big headquarters.
I wonder how many other areas are like that. Usually there is one biggest city that is the tag for the area.
