IF you have Verizon download nomorobo. It's $20 a year but worth it to me.

Wouldn't this just incentivize companies like nomorobo to ensure the calls never end until you pay for their service? Similar to how anitvirus companies would never actually want to completely eliminate computer viruses?

It has really ramped up over the last 2 months. I get at least 2-3 calls a day now.

So it's not just me.

My question is, do they really make enough money to turn a profit aggravating the ever living shite out of the public on a daily basis. Who the frick buys enough stuff from these annoying arse MFer's for them to continue?

If you have AT&T you can download an app called "Call Protect" published by AT&T.

I set this up yesterday, so I guess I'll find out today if it works. Usually get at least 2 of these calls before lunch.

My solution is I don't answer calls from numbers I don't know. If it's important, they can leave a message and I'll call them back.

I can't remember the last time I spoke to someone on the phone who tried to sell me something.

Was wondering why you never answer my calls!

Well crap, just got a call. It didn't block the call but it did Called ID it as "Telemarketer". So I guess it is working...somewhat.

Blow an air horn into the phone every time they start talking. They will get the hint.

Register your number with donotcall.gov and then start reporting the numbers that are violating the registry..mine has started up since the New year as well but I have the contacts so that use to report as spam and block..

They got me from a Colorado # this morning. I've gotten them from all over the country. I can't silence it, because of the necessity of being accessible for work. It makes me feel better to send text messages to the number, on the chance it is a cell phone. I never cross the line of overtical threats, but leave it just vague enough to make one wonder, or ask if they want to buy some shite.

Often, a quick text stops the calls at one that day, instead of a half dozen. I haven't gotten bills or astronomical charges for unwittingly agreeing to anything either, and I've experimented in trying to make it stop, including saying yes (and many other things).

Just wanted to bump this thread because I may have found a solution to this..

A buddy of mine found this website Opt-Out-Prescreen

From my understanding, this is a 3rd party company that is backed by the FTC. Apparently this stops the information sharing between credit card companies, which is where these warranty robo-callers are getting our information from.

I'm not sure if coincidence or not, but I entered my information on Monday into this website and I haven't recieved one scammy call since

I have been using an app called "Should I Answer?" Spam calls don't ring, just sends a notification. Works well so far

I'm to the point where I don't even answer numbers that I don't recognize anymore. 99% of the time it's a robocall or warranty call. They'll leave a message if it's important

Just buy them, it's a pretty good deal. I'll have 7 different warranties to use next time my A/C quits working.
