Tattoos are a form of artistic expression. Most people are followers, not leaders, thus they have to answer to someone that they are submissive to (boss, wife, etc.). These people can not have tattoos because they will lose their job, or they simply don't have the balls to stand up for themselves. Saying tattoos are trashy is merely their way of coping with their submissive nature.
