Going on two vacations, hanging out by the pool everyday, grilling out, and taking it easy while I make up new complaints about how teaching sucks so I can whine about it starting in September

You must have hit 'submit' too soon, but I fixed it for ya.

OBX

Are there times not to go to OBX? I'm about 30 minutes north and this will be my first time here for the summer. Don't want to go if there are bad weekends and what not

I find it funny that people get so jealous of teachers this time of the year.

I find it funny that you think I'm jealous.

I've got nothing against teachers. But there's no way I'd ever want to teach - I don't care how much vacation time it comes with.

And if teaching is half as miserable as y'all complain about it, there's no amount of vacation that would convince me to do that job.

TBH we don't all hate our jobs, I Teach mostly seniors who are on a college track. My students give a shite and want to succeed and we have a lot of fun in my class going on field trips etc. My seniors are now gone and graduated and have been gone for about three weeks. I now have 4 off hours to BS with you fellows on Tigerdroppings.

My wife and I are both teachers. Our summer will start off with Foster to adopt classes and then after that we are going to Destin for a week. Later in the summer we will be pulling the camper to Gatlinburg for a week and somewhere in between I plan to spend a few days in Grand Isle.

Happy summer to everyone!

I dont blame you there. Some teachers really do have it bad but thankfully I am not one of those.

Working my arse off. We have more than twice the amount of work on the books than we did at this time last year. Good problem to have but I am responsible for figuring out how we are going to get it all done. My bonus better be more than twice what it was last year.

Heading to the Guadalupe River to float and camp out with my 10 yr old son next week.

Then towards the end of June somewhere in Mexico for a week.

Maybe Florida (Redneck Riviera) in July

Work and lots of weddings. I'm at the age where everyone I know is getting married. It sucks to live in Texas when all of your friends get married in Louisiana.

I'm jealous. At a crossroads right now but debating going back to school to be a teacher. Been subbing off and on and love it(i know being a full time teacher is different).

Serious question: what degree do you need to be a teacher?
