Easter probably deserves it's own category as a significant yet not-terribly-fun holiday.

That's why I have it in the second tier. A Sunday holiday can't really be any higher.

Memorial Day should be Tier 2 IMO

I can entertain that argument. Monday holidays get an automatic boost.

I have happy hour with my dad weekly, live a few miles from brother, see other sibling every few weeks.

My extended fam gets together every other month for dinner

I dont need hallmark holidays to see my family

My favorite holidays are based on relaxation/fun times

You sound just like Max "But everyone here knows that Halloween was invented by the candy companies- it's a conspiracy!" Dennison, and we know how things turned out for him.

ETA: For real though, you're lucky to be so close to your family.

Living in such close proximity to your family. You must live in the same small town you grew up in.

I didn’t mean living in a small town is a bad thing. I live in a place with 2500 or so year round residents

I just can’t imagine my family living that close. Sounds like hell, but mine would constantly be in my business.

Being around my dad and my brothers I wouldn’t mind so much. I could do without the constant competition of my sisters, sisters in law, and wife, though.

New Year’s Eve (we throw a big party at the house, so no amateur hour BS)
Thanksgiving
4th of July/Memorial/Labor Day because I love summer pool and BBQ
FBD Jamboree
St Patrick’s Day
Mardi Gras

If you don’t have kids and you’re not a college student anymore, Halloween is kinda a non-celebration.
