What are your experiences with getting pulled over by law enforcement?

I once was pulled over on Gentilly Blvd for speeding in a school zone. I just had turned right and was immediately waved to pull over. I got a ticket but told the officer that I just turned and didn't have time to speed up. He told me to tell it to the judge. I went to court and won my case. True story.

I always act respectful and reasonable. Don't try to get on a high horse with the "I pay your salary and I don't have to legally do what you tell me" bullshite. Only time I have been really that pissed was in one of those shithole towns in south Louisiana where the speed limit is 75 and they gave me a ticket going 81.

Typically things go well until they see the spanish name on my driver's license.

I got pulled over on I-310 in St. Charles Parish for speeding even though I was driving 60 and the vehicle on the side of me was passing me and was well over 60. Trooper jumps out onto I-310 and waves me over. I roll down window and explain to him he had stopped the wrong vehicle.
He said give me your license and I told him my wallet was in my back pack. The back pack was in the front passenger seat. I reach over for the backpack and the officer yells at me to stop and I look towards him and he has his gun pointed at me.
Told him I don't own any weapons and he said give me the bag. So, I hand him the bag and he goes through it and finds my wallet and hands bag back to me. Proceeds to walk to his car with my license, proof of insurance, registration. SOB wrote me a ticket, which I paid as I did not have time to appear in court.
Every time I pass on I-310 and see him parked on side of road I shoot him the bird.

Usually pretty douchey when I have been pulled over. I try to be as respectful as possible and I've never had any issues.
Amazing when you don't act like a jackass, nothing bad happens to you.

Polite and respectful goes a long way. You will still get the ticket but your chances of being tazed go down considerably.

I typically show them my badge and they tell me stay safe and slow down.

Always respectful and reasonable. However I've never been let go or given a warning. This really pissed me off when I got a ticket near tigerland for an illegal left turn but I had 6 drunk people in my truck as I was the dd. He knew I was the dd and doing a good duty...still got the ticket.

I was stopped a checkpoint on Nicholson. I was respectful, answered the questions asked of me. I was then taken out if my car and asked to do field sobriety test in the middle of Nicholson while another officer git in my car, without my permission and moved it into a side road.
They then made me go into their mobile home with the breathalyzer and forced me to take one even though I refused and said I hadn't been drinking. At that point, I became the a-hole. I was stripped of my rights.
Brpd is shite.

You think they actually want people to not drink and drive? No you just cost them all their money they make on a Thursday night.

Every time without fail. I've been pulled over and accused of stealing my & my wife's car even though our last names are the same and have the same address.

Act respectful and friendly. Simple as that. Gotten 1 ticket in 15 years. Most cops are pretty chill.

I kid you not one time I was pulled over everything was okay and then he saw my license and then asked me to step out the car and if I had any drugs in the car.
And, of course, my truck always seems to come up as "stolen".

You understand the definition of the word "limit", right? You exceeded it and got a ticket. Why did you get mad?

Similar situation happened to me in Miami. When I say they took everything out my car, they took everything out. I spent the next 30-45 minutes putting the seats back in after they left
