Obviously these guys weren't taught that.

Not sure you can blame the dead guy. I don’t think he asked his friend to point the gun at him. And for all we know he may very well have told him to get that gun away from him but his buddy isn’t going to admit that part.

Good point. We only have one side of the story.

I would be pissed if a friend did this to me (also dead), luckily my friends are gun savvy and would never do that.

We had a friend like that. He was an 80 year old Lt. Colonel who went to West Point. Smart guy. But he would pick up your gun and start waving it around and point it in your direction. I used to drive me nuts because he should know better.

But now he died, so no one else is going to get away with that shite around here.

Doesn't seem like it. Must have had some mental issues, should've known better.

I just think he got old and didn't give a shite any more. But it is a sucky feeling to have your own weapon pointed in your direction.

I get that. I also agree with having your own weapon pointed at you sucks. Had a friend in junior high at my house and I showed him my .243. He proceeded to point it at me, I told him never do that. He proceeded to point it out the door (had a storm door that was closed) and pulled the trigger. Shot the glass out of the door and hit a car at the neighbors house. Scared the shite out of me.

For all we know this could have been a premeditated murder with him making this up to try and get a lighter sentence.

I thought that as well. Dead men tell no tales.

This is never a joke. Anyone who points a gun at someone as a joke deserves to be slammed in the face multiple times with said gun.
I remember a friend pulling his pistol out at a small gathering to show to another person. It was like the parting of the Red Sea in front of him with multiple versions of "put that away or eat it" heard from all around the room. He wasn't completely stupid and did exactly that, put it away. Most in that bunch carried, just knew better than to handle their weapons in that kind of setting.
