What are you experiences with PayPal claims?

Just put in my first one.
Product ordered in late July and not received.
Sent request to seller, and they told me that refund will not be issued.
Now sending to PayPal. They have now reached out to seller on my behalf. Apparently I have a few weeks to get it settled or move on with more action from PayPal.
Not sure what to expect here.

It was along time ago, but I got nothing. PayPal ruled in my favor, but the person had already cleared their account.
I think there Is more protection if it’s related to a purchase through a site like eBay. Or if you used a CC through PayPal instead of your bank account.

PayPal is notorious for heavily favoring the buyer in these situations. You'll be fine.

Yeah paypal screwed me as I sent something to someone and they filed a claim. I even had the receipt saying it was delivered.

They actually did send me a certificate of ownership for the product. Before you ask, it is not a sex robot.
So the PayPal trail notes a delivery.
Email from seller is:
"We do not offer refunds. Right now we are awaiting parts, and then production. When your units are ready, we will notify you."
So at least I have it in writing that the product has not been shipped.

When it’s time to escalate the claim make sure you have time/date stamped screenshots of everything and they will more than likely rule in your favor and refund you.

I've had the best luck by calling PayPal. BE polite, and have all your documentation scanned and ready to send to the PayPal employee.
If you allow the computers to handle you claim, you could lose. The agents are very pro-buyer - but your seller may have figured out a way to beat the computers (the certificate of ownership delivered to you)

Same thing happened to me. I had to file suit to get it resolved. Had a $2300 item delivered with signature, and the buyer claimed it wasn't his signature. That by itself was enough for PayPal to pull the money out of my account.

Just prepared to wait while. The last dispute I had took a couple of months to resolve.

Took 14 days for my claim to go through. They’ll notify the sellers. The seller will lie. They notify you. You’ll give them proof. Then you’ll wait 7 days.
