Nicest or most fun to play? Nicest I've played are Squire Creek, Mystic Creek-Barely in Arkansas, Oak Wing, Black Bear, Calvert, Tamahka. Most fun, Links on the Bayou, Stonebridge, Squire Creek, Carter Plantation.

dont forget the MS gulf coast if you're willing to drive that far. Grand Bear, The Oaks, Wind Dance etc are all great courses.

The only course I play in Louisiana that is consistently in outstanding shape is Metairie CC.

I'd much rather like to know what are the top 3 courses in the Houston area.

Definitely spend a night at Beau Rivage and get Fallen Oak added to your stay. Best course by far within 2-3 hr drive of NO

After that I agree with most:

CCLA, Money Hill, TPC. Squire Creek is best in the state but 5 hrs from NO

It's as if God himself takes care of LaTour's maintenance. Almost positive Jesus is on the crew

What about Le Triomphe CC in Broussard, La. I caddied there a few times

Great lay out, hit or miss on condition. They have had some weird issues the past couple of years, but when it is in its top condition, it's amazing.

It's in great condition right now, I love the layout and prefer it to Oakbourne considering the condition they're in now. You need to play with a member to get on though

Le Triomphe is not what it used to be. Back when David Church was running things it was awesome. Now that they have that bulldyke as GM it is not good. The condition is bad, the service is bad and the food is bad.

Golden Nugget course in lake charles is a solid track. It's a little tight considering the size of land they had to put it on but the course is in good shape. Prepare for gale force winds on some days with it being right off the lake.

as mentioned before my public choices would be GN, TPC, English Turn, and Bluffs

I will give you 5 (in no particular order):

Squire Creek
CCLA
English Turn
Southern Trace
Money Hill (best property IMO)
