I have been searching on the laspca site for about 30 minutes. was having a discussion with a friend who has a crazy cat lady neighbor and we were curious when the law steps in?

Dunno.

But the law should always step in for crazy-cat people. Did you know that cat urine affects the human brain such that they desire more cats (or more cat urine, I dunno).

Michigan requires a Vet/Kennel license after 4 pets. TMYK!

Is there a limit?

I think the law looks at living conditions, moreso than a set limit.

It doesn't give you a specific number but some minimum requirements per pet.

quote:

If multiple animals are present in one location, each animal must have a separate and clean food bowl. Each animal must have access to shelter and the owner must meet all standards as detailed in this section.

Sec. 18-2.1. - Minimum standards of care for animals.
