I'll just butt in on the whole "why would we change our minds about kids." If ya'll are in your mid 20's, she's got 10-15 years at most to have children, while you could still get someone pregnant when you're 50. So that pressure it going to start building on her way faster than on you. She's gonna start thinking about just what it is that she's giving up a lot sooner than you will. When you get right down to it and are really honest with yourself, there aren't many things more meaningful in this life than having and raising a kid. You'd have to have a hell of a career or purpose to really supplant that.

So, while you might be perfectly ok not having kids, she's very likely (if she's like a lot of other women I know who thought they didn't want to have kids in their mid 20's) going to be like this

You and your wife must rethink your entire thought process. I is never just about you but us. You have to grow up and so does she. It is give and take. I have been married for over 41 years and my wife still is loving and kind.

So they were an accident.

Yea I'm not going to have accidental kids. If we want them, I'll have them.

So much truth to that. My girl was quite unsure about whether she even wanted kids when we were starting out. That tide shifted dramatically for her in a very short period of time. When the baby bug bites, it bites hard.

So those that can't have kids should just resign themselves to living meaningless lives?

My wife is very much against the idea of having them for a multitude of reasons. Her career is a big part of that but there are other reasons as well. In addition, I have no interest in raising children. My reasons aren't as strong as hers.

I'd be more likely to change my mind. I could see maybe in 5 years or so when I'm 33/34 not be so opposed to the idea. She's a different story though. With every friend of ours that gets pregnant or has a child, it makes her even more opposed to the idea.
i have seen this post before somewhere......

your wife's age may be playing a bigger part in her choice (for the time being).

Maybe so.

I'm a little more emotionally sensitive to stuff like that at the moment, sorry.

Oh, absolutely not, and I'm sorry if I came across like that. I'm saying that having children adds a lot of purpose and meaning to your life, and you should be very careful about giving that up.

Biggest challenge for you will probably be her using YOUR moisturizer and YOUR hair product.

Women are selfish brother.
