Huh? Columbia is definitely not the greatest place in the world. But it's a nice college town.

Worst cities??? There's a 100 other places in every other state, much less Missouri that are worse than Columbia.

Gary Indiana needs to be mentioned more.

Detroit has some good sports stadiums and casinos.

Surprised Oakland seems to be that bad. Everything in Cali seems pretty awesome.

It doesn't belong anywhere near this list. Plenty of the city is very nice, but people shite on it because it's right next door to SF.

But this definitely isn't true... Plenty of shitty places in California.

Columbia is fricking terrible...it's in the middle of nowhere, it's bleak and boring, and the party scene is highly overrated.

It was the worst College town in the old Big 12

Easily - it's the very definition of post-industrial apocalypse. Youngstown, Ohio is the only place that I've seen that's even remotely close.

Oakland isn't that bad. It gets a relative bad rap because it's next to two of the nicest places in America in Berkeley and San Francisco, but it's improved a lot in the last twenty years. It's still pretty violent in areas, though.

There are plenty of uber-shittee spots in California, though. Stockton is the armit of America. Modesto, Merced, Richmond, Fresno, Bakersfield...the Central Valley is kind of a hole.

Newark is pretty nasty. It's basically NY's septic tank.

How cute. Someone who thinks the French Quarter is New Orleans.

Even more cute someone who thinks drinking only happens in the quarter. Sorry for your butt hurt on this.

If you stay out of the hood, Oakland is pretty nice. Lake Merritt, Rockridge, Montclair, Piedmont, Adams Point, Mills, all are great neighbhorhoods.

Now that everyone is priced out of SF, lots of folks moving across the bay to Oakland.
