What are some of the things you hate about your in-laws?

I’m convinced that mine don’t have a single shred of common-fricking-sense whatsoever. Went up to visit for the Holidays, and the day before we leave they’ve decided to let us know they’d like us to bring back a lot of crap. I’m now asked to rent a $500 Uhaul trailer and drive down on icy roads of New England all the way to Louisiana with some paintings, bullshite sentimentals, and hand-me-downs that couldn’t be worth more than a couple hundred bucks. Tried explaining to them that it would be much easier to load the big stuff in my truck, and shipping down the small stuff. They had never even considered that.

Nothing. I love my inlaws.
My dad always told me you don't marry the girl. You marry the family. And I took that to heart. I cannot imagine marrying someone who's family you hate. Why choose to be miserable like that?

My s/o dad is a lawyer, he is pretty smart however her mom is fricking ridiculous. Still dyes her hair purple and pink and green and crazy colors. Acts like a 14 year old, and really never grew up it seems. She never cooked, cleaned or anything when their kids were growing up. Basically just slept all day when she would get home from work. I dont get it coming from a house where my mom cooked every night and was a teacher.

That’s almost this exact situation. Dad is a mechanical engineer and mathematically brilliant, but a social retard. He’s also a cuck and does whatever her tyrant mother tells him to.
Basically, she wants us to pack down a bunch of shite that we don’t want or need so she has an excuse to buy new furniture.

Well, they're going to leave a substantial inheritance to me and the wife but I think they'll still live another 30 years or more, so it's pretty irritating.

My mother in-law is awesome. Father in-law and I get along fine we just have very little in common. They are the kind of people who have brunch on Saturdays so my outdoor activities took them a while to get used to.

My in-laws are awesome. They live out of town, and they never interfere in anything. They leave us alone.
