whats the benefit of adding the USB outlets. I see several people mentioning this. Wouldn't plugging a phone into a regular outlet be just as simple?
I agree with you, just built a house with no USB outlets. No regrets. 10 years from now USB outlets will be obsolete.

By "adding outlets", I only meant the surge protectors that plug in over the existing outlet.
They give you additional outlets by the nightstand and I can leave the power cube chargers in my suitcase, etc.

That really looks nice.
I'd love to put a set of French doors connecting my dining room/kitchen area to the gameroom - so even with the doors closed it would feel less secluded - but my fuse box sits smack dab in the middle of the wall I'd have to go through. Don't want it bad enough to go through the hassle of messing with all the elctrical wiring.

Motion activated LED in the outside entryway.
USB outlets.
Best money/enjoyment ratio is my projector. It's mounted into the built-in bookcases. I run a HDMI splitter from my receiver - one cable goes to the TV, one to an HDMI wallplate, with a 50' HDMI that goes to the projector. Whole setup (projector, plates, mount, cables, splitter) was less than $500. I love it.
