Someone told me his go to excuse is "I ate some bad Oysters". He told me use used it at every job he worked.. But he has been working his career job for a long time.. And said he used it twice, the second time it was with a new manager, who replaced the manager he used it on.. But I think he is now over the managers he use to be under and can't just take sick days like he use to..

Always use Dhiarhea. It’s the undefeated excuse. Nobody blames you or asks questions.

yeah, although I would clarify and don't say that instead say food poisoning.
And honestly, why do you need an excuse? I always just say to my boss, I am sick.

Yea I don’t really need excuses for work, but I used dhiarhea for a lot of things I don’t want to attend. Weddings, birthday dinners, couples showers etc. things normally people would guilt trip me over, dhiarhea does the trick.

Back, knees, vomiting / diarrhea, mental health.
There are also doctor visits which are effectively full day due to the distance between my house and my office.

I scheduled vacation this week like a normal person.
But if I ever did need to take a day for whatever reason, they wouldn’t ask, because I have a good track record of showing up and getting shite done.

SIAP. Not what you’re asking but funny. Calling in sick to a place you don’t work.

very sorry to hear that. It can be tough, but with the right care he could still have a good, productive life.
Where is he seeking treatment?

I had 2 employees call today and start with the, “Hey Cotten, I don’t think I’m feeling all that well...”
Cut them off and said enjoy a day off, see you when you feel better. Sent our intern home at lunch since I could tell he was itching to leave. Office is pretty dead with the new year around the corner.
