I don’t tip at the Starbucks drive up if they stick the credit card machine out the window and make me put it in. Not only do I think this is a Covid relic, I think it’s extremely Gen Z laziness and unprofessional.
On the other hand, if they take my card, swipe it for me, then stick it out the window for me to tip, I tip generously.

I may be wrong, but that's becoming more a policy norm so people don't steal your CC info. You see it now in restaurants too.
