Wearing a button down, tie, and slacks as a graduate. Gonna have a whole bottle of fireball and 3 cigars for me and my two buddies to bust out afterward.

I went to my god-daughters LSU graduation in a suit, no tie, a couple years ago. There were people in everything from casual to suit and tie. Dress shirt and slacks is probably the best bet.
