Railhead BBQ, Lonesome Dove and Bonnell's are all Fort Worth restaurants that are legit. Kincaid's hamburgers puts anything in Louisiana to shame.

Go to Praseks Hillje Smokehouse in El Campo off 59 if you are ever that way. Place has some bad arse smoked meats, jerky, kolaches, and breakfast burritos.
They have basically taken the Buc-ees model, but have much better food.

All the Dallasites I work with rave about Bubba's fried chicken in HP. It's pretty average if you ask me. I'll take my Popeyes spicy 3 piece combo.

Yeah I've been hunting in Freer pretty much my whole life, so we've always stopped there for breakfast when heading out.
By took the bucees model I just meant really nice facilities and very clean bathrooms.

HEB is really great.
Kolaches. Both the real fruit type as well as the sausage/cheese that everyone associates with the word.
Shiner blonde light. Love it.
Lone Star. Excellent in a cold bottle.
Lupe Tortillas. My absolute favorite but I love that lime marinade that turns some off
Buccees is great but I've never heard anyone brag on it. At its root, it's a gas station.
Whataburger. Awesome and I think their breakfasts are the strongest portion of the menu.
All of the above I genuinely miss when I'm away from home.
Caines can suck it. Not good.
Texas forever.

Don't forget Taco Cabana. Their breakfast tacos are the shite. Pretty legit margaritas for a fast food place too.
HEB is worth bragging about as well. I love that place. HEB Plus are all over Austin now. Unfortunately for me, HEB hasn't moved into the Dallas market.
Specs is ok, I prefer Total Wine.
Have never been to a Bucees.
