My son has been really fun since we learned to walk. He's 2 now and he loves to go outside every day and play golf in the front yard. Im usually out there with him carrying around a PW hitting his plastic golf balls. They change so fast, and thats one thing I hated about working offshore. Each time I came home it was like coming home to a different kid.

This hot girl I work with has an 8 year old daughter. She is an unwed mother but the 8 year old is a hoot. Already love being around her. Really want to get in a relationship with this woman so I can spend time with the two of them. I feel like I am a chivalrous man and it is a man's duty to step up to the plate and help out a mother raising a child by herself

My 3.5 year old is fun, but he never hit the phase where he acted out a lot. My 19 month old is great, when she doesn't have molars coming out.

What about all that, 'Single mother baggage etc.', that you went on about yesterday? Options not in abundance?

ETA: unless you actually mean you're just looking for a friendship to be around the child. In which case, clarify.

I'm in my 50's now, so I'll say 50's.

Seriously, there is not one age that I can say is better, but certain that the teenage years are different than the elementary age. Kids are great! They keep us young.

My 3 year old daughter is awesome most of the time.

My 1 year old daughter just started being cool like yesterday when we got her 2nd set of tubes in.

I actually enjoyed my kids teen years the most. They are both smart and funny and we had fun together. It helped that they got along with each other and neither really had that horrible typical teen attitude.

Of course, now they are on their own and have forgotten I exist.

I have not found an age that I have not enjoyed my son. It has been quite amazing to watch him grow up. He's 17 now.

Of course, I am his parent and not his friend.

From about 2 (or whenever they finish potty training) until about 8 where they start to get an attitude.

They are so cute and loving and fun and you are just the world to them. Be a good dad to them and it has a lasting impact

In the wild, many male animals will kill any young offspring of their new mate to assure that resources won't be wasted on progeny not of their line.

You seem like the type that would ascribe to these natural rules.

I liked it when my son was in his late teens and would bring home cute girls. I could hear them through the walls and sometimes find an excuse to walk in on them.

But worth every dime, as you know. When those little arms go around your neck, you're helpless.
