My uncle died in a similar manner, but it was a brewing tank at a brewery that he fell into. They say he didn't suffer though...in fact, workers say he climbed out twice to take a piss.

sounds like someone found a way to stop her from investigating their corruption
mayors dont just fall into tanks full of shite, they always have minions around doing stuff for them, no way she is spending her spare time working at a plant treating the sewerage

Worse then this imo is those ponds of manure around milk farms and people somewhat routinely fall in them. There was the story a couple years ago where a dad and 2 sons all died in them, basically one fell in and the other two tried to rescue and they all died.
