I don't think it is possible for me to get a sweeter gig than what I have now, tbh.
I've got excellent benefits, made a nice salary with annual end of the year bonus that is anywhere from 15 to 30k, and got a 20% salary increase a few weeks ago. I've never worked for a better boss, have excellent job security, make my own schedule for the most part, short commute to work, and family is priority #1 within the company.

Not happy on the job front?

LOVE my patients. LOVE.
I'm just not cut out for state employment. The dingleberry that hangs on to the University's arse the longest becomes boss. That's a hard pill to swallow. I'm putting my 6 years in to vest in the pension and then... idk

A decent buyout would get me to move on.

What if its around 60% more and you have to move 900 miles away from everything you know as home?

50 to 75 percent, and would have to think about it a lot. I don't make a ton, but I love my job and my coworkers.
I live frugally so that I can stay in a job I love and that gives me a good quality of life.

Really depends on the new company and if the new job will give new or expanded growth opportunities. I just made a move last summer and it was more about that than the salary increase.

Definitely a no then. I'm not relocating, all of our family is within 20 miles. Although I'd move to Hawaii in a second if my wife would agree.
The position I'm being considered for really just bumps me into a consistent project lead role. I'm an IT consultant now, so whatever the client wants is what I do at that time. Gets a little old sometimes.

Well my situation is a little different. Other than my parents my family is spread out from Kalamazoo to El Paso.
I've had failures and success over my life, but the worst of it happened about 5 years ago when things fell apart for me.
It took some time but I got back into an industry I know and love that is as we call it "the family business". However, I am grossly underpaid. Seriously, for my position I am not even making 50% of national average. I accepted that because I didn't have the experience and no where else to go but now the market has changed and I have the experience. Unfortunately, my bosses don't see it that way.
It came as a surprise but I had gotten a phone call from a talent relations manager for a large mill looking for new employees in their continued growth.
And let's just say this guy is hitting the paint hard. Its a big decision for me. I don't have kids nor a wife (not really looking either ). Should be a no brainer to chase the money. I could use it and be able to venture out on my own in a few years.
Who knows, I will have to make a decision next week.

The SO just turned in her notice for a 10% increase, plus better benefits. But she would have taken a pay cut to leave within the last year. So maybe that's not the best benchmark.

Not much....What are you offering?

I'd take a pay cut if it meant better day-to-day work for my personal development.
