I looked into it, they wouldn’t even provide a RANGE of possible prices unless I have my name phone and email. Like I cannot think about it unless they are calling me to sell.

Get what they deserve.

Why would anyone rent one of these spaces out?

I have a company with real assets, real facilities, real everything.

I keep a conference room sized office at a place like We Work-

Sometimes I need to be by myself with zero distractions. We have a huge TV on the wall, I can have meetings with key team members where we can just focus.

I bet we use it once or twice a month and it’s totally worth it to me.

Don’t they own a ton of valuable real estate?

They own expensive real estate.

It's value isn't probably much, today.

I honestly want to know, who uses these places? In the era of many people working from home, why would you leave your home to go work in an office that's not even the office of your employer?

We have a bunch of remote workers and some people work better when they have some human contact. So letting them work in a facility like this makes sense for them.

Softbank hasn't exactly been hitting home runs recently.

Agreed. They have made some serious mistakes lately.

I can only speak for myself.

I would consider doing this as I live in the boonies, have shitty internet service (maxed at 25mbps) and am required by my employer to have stable fast internet connection as a condition of employment. My internet connection is neither fast nor stable.
Why wouldn't you opt for Starlink?

Seems like that would be less expensive than renting a space and less troublesome and less wear and tear on your vehicle, too.

So many idiots thought they were a tech company because they had kombucha in their offices or something. There would never be real economies of scale unless they had some kind of software they could license to commercial property owners looking to subdivide their office space. If WeWork wants to grow more they have to invest in more real estate (purchase or lease) or charge more. That's it. It's a good business model but never at tech valuations
