Are you saying he was a shitbird? I knew an officer in the Marines who was still a Cpt after almost a decade. He's a LtCol now and a commander at the regimental level.

Cousin was a West Point grad. Got out after 20 as an LTC as he didn't like the direction the Army was going with the sjw bullshite.

Ain’t no set time. Between wwI and II you had 20 year lieutenants. Start up wwII you have privates frocked to Lts. If there’s not a lot going on, war wise, you fall victim to the pyramid system.

I’m being serious about this. Those old things are priced pretty reasonably. I just need to figure out how much to factor in for maintenance. I’ve had a few boats and am pretty handy. We’re not going on that trip immediately and won’t do it nonstop. We’ll need fellow Tigers just to cruise locally. We went out on the lake right by the sailgate for UCLA a few weeks ago. That’s probably a typical day cruise.
