I wouldn’t say I rolled with a particular crowd. I was a starter on the football team for three years and on the swim team. So I was with them quite a bit. Dated a cheerleader then a swimmer. Best friend was in the band. Hung out with the ROTC guys a bit. Child hood best friend I grew up with was a part of the car/mechanic/shop group. Was in honors classes and top ten in my class academically. Butch off enough friends. One of which I’m still friends And talk to still to this day, that was the singer of a popular/record label signed band.

I was somewhat known but not super popular. I was the backup QB at a school in TX but was more focused on going to Brown than football to my dad’s & coaches dismay.

Things really changed after the starting QB got hurt and I came in and really took command of the team. Girls, parties, pressure, etc…it was crazy time. Eventually my dad realized I didn’t want his life and everything worked itself out.

I wasn't part of the super preppy popular crowd, but was part of the mid to upper tier popular crowd.

But I was just as comfortable hanging with the misfits cause I DGAF what people thought about me really.

I was the one that would surprise people... "oh wait you are smart?"

Yeah, I just didn't talk and brag about it.

The kid that wants to be the smartest and everyone thinks is the smartest because he brags about how smart he is hates me for a reason.

No. I smoked weed, had 1 bestie, and skipped school once a week.

Was an AP student and tested out of most freshman classes at LSU, so it’s fine. I’ve since told my parents all the shite I did

I took technical drafting to hang with the boys, but ended up loving it and making an A.

The biggest/baddest guy on the football team took home econ, to hang out with the girls.

It worked great for him, and not a soul said anything.

I was a nerdy loser, but I had no shortage of friends, most of whom I am still close with and hang out with frequently.

Aquatic science was the best class ever. It was either take that or calculus. We would just watch nat geo vhs tapes of underwater habitats and take field trips to the beach. Teacher would let us sleep if we finished our work early.

Small school (15-20 kids per class). We didn't have different "crowds".

We didnt have anything like that.

I only had two classes as a Senior. Wood tech and Sr English. I skipped an entire 6 weeks at the end of my Sr year.

If these folks had willpower, they would lose weight without the drugs.

Popular adjacent…I never thought of myself that way, but I’ve been told by others they did. I was friends with the ones I would consider popular.

Also, I was very easy going back then and liked by all groups. I was Ferris.

ditto. i was a west texas 2A school in the country in west Texas. graduated with 40 people.

i hung mostly with the athletes, but i also did debate, speech, and one act. i didn't party, so we hung out a bit after school, but i usually left when alcohol and women came around. this once saved me from some charges that today would have ruined my life.

the hispanic kids, druggies, nerds and athletes mostly got along with no issues.

except for the incident...

I played sports, but was also 5th my class academically. I was told by the Who's Who vote counters that I received more votes than anyone, but they was scattered through numerous categories, so I wound up winning something dumb like Most Courteous. I hung out with the "popular kids", but would consider myself popular adjacent. My senior year kinda stunk as I was closer friends to guys that were a year older. Junior year was fun.
