Been watching some early 90s media and there are a lot of ponytails on middle aged men.

I had long hair and a ponytail in the 90s but I was a teenager and not middle aged.

I had a friend who had to work security for a Billy Ray concert back in his early 90s hey day. Said he had a bodyguard whose only responsibility was to protect his pony tail.
