Went to a Walmart Market today - they had plenty of bread and milk

A lot of the stuff - bread and milk had a limit of 1 per customer. They were loading the shelves with Mrs Bairds, Bimbo and Great Value brand while I was there. The milk case was full.
They were totally out of toilet paper, Trash BAGS and hand soap.
The canned goods were pretty much picked over and half empty with some totally gone.
I got a gallon of milk and the cheapest bread - Great Value for 88 cents, some Reese's eggs, storage containers and limes for the Corona that I had to go back to the liquor store to buy.

All stores have been doing a good job restocking. Only thing I have seen completely "wiped" out is TP and pasta.

What is the texture of great value bread? Is it like trying to hold a bunch of pieces of individual rice together in unison?

I really only needed/wanted bread. I get the cheapest I can find because a lot of bread gets thrown out around here.
BUT, this was the first time this week that I drove by and the parking lot was not packed.
Maybe it is coming back to almost normal.

it varies store to store
yesterday albertsons had no ground beef and lots of chicken. walmart had no chicken and lots of ground beef. some have lots of laundry detergent and some don't. hell walmart had paper towels.

This isn’t going to be an issue. Even Italy is fine on the grocery supply chain front. I’ve tried to stock up on meat and stuff but that’s been more about avoiding multiple trips to store more than fear that the stores will be bare.

I usually get the Great Value round-top and it, TO ME, is comparable to Wonder and Mrs Bairds.
I am not a bread nut though, if it will hold some stuff to make a sandwich, make a decent grilled cheese from the toaster or go good as a side for meals it is okay to me.

Central Walmart has no tp

Walmart is also not doing tires or oil changes until further notice

I drink it some. For example, I love a big glass of milk with a bowl of red beans and cornbread.
I probably drink 2-3 glasses per week. Fully leaded too baw.

Winco was totally out of milk.

I just looked and reported. This household is not one that waits until it is low on toilet paper to replenish. We have not bought toilet paper or paper towels in months and are still good to go for months. Will need some flushable wipes within the next few weeks but can easily live without if needed.
