My cousin has one that’s pretty awesome. That’s what made me want one.

Best of luck to you. Find a reputable breeder tto minimize the negatives.

Haven't read the thread, but honestly, that's what you get for not adopting a rescue dog.

Yeah we all saw your dumb fricking analogy on page 2. The hook was not shiny then and it isn't now.

and your argument still exudes bias ignorance.

your guilt trip isn't persuading anyone to gamble on a 15 year investment. and this is coming from someone who has both adopted and raised purebreds from 8 weeks.

it's a choice and potential owners shouldn't be guilt tripped into pound mutts.

Any puncture wounds caused by a bite will likely get infected. You don't need the ER, but I would stop by a clinic.

I have two puncture wounds. I’ve been cleaning the shite outta them with alcohol and peroxide and topping it off with neosporin. I’m watching the wounds for infection. Seems to be ok.

can't really help you when it comes to the bite wounds.

but i will advise you on buying from a reputable breeder. we bought a 8 week old vizsla puppy in May 2016. Being in Texas, a bird dog like that is somewhat a desirable breed. what i'm trying to say is, the good breeders have waitlist, the puppy mills don't.

We had a couple breeders as options. We talked with / worked with several. Met their older dogs. We ended up going with the most expensive breeder afterwards.

reason being: beautiful dogs that she was breeding, championship quality, no white spots, guaranteed their health for the first 2 years (including hip displaysia), and promised us she would pick the right puppy for our family based on our personalities and lifestyle.

and she did. our girl loves to run long distances with us. is playful. but knows when it's time to relax and be a giant lap dog. she was also a beta, but tough and loving, so she got a long great with our 4 year old retired racing greyhound female who is incredibly alpha. they ended up being the best friends. ....then our greyhound died unexpectedly from a cancerous tumor hidden in our chest cavity attached to her organs. (11 years too early, we are still morning 3 months later)

back on topic: the others were glorified puppy mills that were $400-500 cheaper. A co-worker of mine bought a vizsla puppy from them a few months earlier (shorter wait list) from one of the breeders we decided not to go with.

Our vizsla is better looking. more athletic. and more intelligent than theirs. Their vizsla already has white hair on it's belly.

you get what you pay for....

Thank you for giving quality feedback. I’m just getting started. I’ve been doing research. I looked these people up by searching places close by so I decided to check them out. These people were awful. Told my buddy about them who’s a legit breeder and he’s gonna look into them. These people need to be dealt with. I hate seeing animals in a shithole like this one.
