Looking to play either The Bluffs, The Island, or Greystone. Anyone played those recently? What kind of condition are they in?

Soon I'll be checking out RTJ Hampton Cove. Gotta warm up a bit more.
I'm sure Redstone Arsenal's golf course is still recovering too...one year it was like putting on mud they had cut the greens too close....

Unfortunately, the greens are awful right now. They rolled the dice in not overseeding this past winter, and the amount of rain they got in Jan/Feb just took its toll. They just need some bright sun and warm temps and they'll be fine in a few weeks. They really had them in great shape in the fall.

I'm not playing this week, but my new driver arrives today or tomorrow. Next week, I'm playing Fallen Oak and Grand Bear on Friday/Saturday

Is Webb still shitty??

If you walk, it is not a bad course to go play for $18. No point in riding because you will be waiting at every hole for the type of players out there

I played Greystone this past Saturday. It's in really good shape. Greens were rolling good and fast.

Should be really green and nice in a week or so after this rain

I've never thought too much about alignment and probably fall into this category. How are you working on this?

It really is everything. What does it matter if you have a great swing if its not aligned correctly?

Alignments sticks are your best friend. Go to the range and put one of the sticks on the target line. Then set up for a shot along that line. Put the other stick across your feet and see where you are aimed. Adjust the sticks so they are perpendicular like this:

Ingrain this feeling of proper alignment to a target. Never go to the range without setting up an alignment station to a specific target. Ingrain the feeling of how your feet look and feel perpendicular to a target.

Proper alignment puts the rest of the swing in proper placement automatically. Its crazy how you can feel squared up to the target and how far out of line you are aimed when you step back to see. Tour players are perfectly aligned on almost every shot.

Impossible to play consistent golf without being aligned properly.

80% of the swing is done before you ever take the club back baws.

Alignment. Work on it. Profit.

Alignment don't mean shite when you don't know which way the ball is going

Alignment gets the ball going in the right direction.

You don't know where its going because you are probably misaligned.
