I thought AEW Dynamite was the best tv wrestling show I’ve watched in a long time. Thought it was much better than NXT so easily watching AEW weekly.
Pacing was awesome. Had some minor production issues but that can be a xpected early on.

I agree I thought it was great for the most part. I’m just looking for something different and I got it. Hopefully they can pick up more talent with name recognition and really build something. Anything that will make WWE better is a win in my book.

my biggest issue from AEW Dynamite tonight...
in a show that's supposed to be "sports" based... in a regular 6-man tag team match with no known stipulations added...
a competitor in the match was attacked by someone not involved in the match right in front of the referee and the referee did nothing
that's a major mistake from the pre-production aspect... you have to realize you're going to do that spot with Moxley and somehow either add a no DQ stipulation or have Rick Knox take a bump... hell... Jericho has no qualms hitting a referee during a match

Yea it's a good thing TNT is the ultimate authority on production because Keith Mitchell would fricking kill the territory.
Pretty much everyone in the wrestling scene that speaks on such matters has said he’s awesome

He produced WCW until it died right?

Calm down Conrad.

I don’t care for him as a person, but if Cult of Personality hit, the roof would blow off that place.
If that's happening you would likely see it in November when they're in Chicago. It would be a brilliant move by Phil if he was just brought in for the night. Think Vince caved to Sasha? Imagine what he would do to embarrass AEW.
I don't think the announcing team for RAW in this form is going to last. He doesn't want to wrestle but I could completely see him as an occasional guest host on FS1 and being the analyst on RAW...maybe a one off RR appearance in January. The thought of him at Heyman's disposal??? That's some real pipe bomb/anti-authority attitude era material that writes itself. With the one time appearance on Dynamite...he'd also be in position to make them look like chumps.

I didnt even watch NxT
You missed the better/more newsworthy show. It was Takeover quality. They killed 205 on the down low by renaming the belt as the "NXY Cruiserweight Championship". Finn is now NXT (I have a feeling they are going to go big name for big name on Wednesday nights...wouldn't be surprised is the loser of the KO/BITW match ends up down there next week.) Ciampa came back at the end to stare down Cole. The only thing that didn't happen was a woman getting sent down. (I'd predict Nia, Brooke, and/or IIconics headed down.) I also had the thought that they just might put Ronda with the other 3 MMA Horsewomen in NXT for a few months leading up to MMA vs WWE at Mania. I think Baszler would get lost on the main rosters.

AEW is to WWE what the AAF was to the NFL
Well AEW actually has money AAF had pretend money
Semantics. AEW has real money not a "line of credit" that could be pulled at anytime. The true comparison would be replacing AAF with XFL in that statement.

ThE production value is garbage. It is closer to impact than WWE
What? It was great. The arena looked great, lighting was bright and sharp, the even had the spotlights going. And the replays and camera work were good.
Scalpers can hammered which is always enjoyable to see. BUT... you don't hype it as sold out and within minutes show a section which has only 6 people sitting in it. The pyro was no better than the first All In. They would have been better with none of it (like NXT) than what looked like fireworks the idiot neighborhood teenages shoot off in July.
Huge difference in announcers. They need to dump the masked idiot and like the two vets carry it. Baker was good for the women's match and when she is in the ring they could easily stick Brandi out there.
AEW felt like 2000's WCW got impregnated by both Impact and ROH. It's not helped by some of their biggest draws being WWE castoffs (Cody/Dustin/Ambrose/Swagger/Jericho's beer gut/etc.) Those that got that big gift from Vince should be thrilled they already got it. I think he's going to be very selective in the next 6 months unless AEW starts FILLING arenas and beating the mid-carders sent down to NXT.

I thought AEW was a great show It was well put together and I loved the heel work.
They did a nice job of introducing the majority of their roster while also building several angles.
Loved it!

Oh, he did, I assure you. Here he was, this grown man, wearing a Hawaiian shirt and sunblock cream on his nose, trying to legitimately get at 2 trash-talking high schoolers. And he wasn’t just joking around, either. That’s what made him so douchey. I never cared for him in WWE, but I liked him just fine in WCW.
Speaking on Brandi, with “talent” kinda low in WWE right now, she might be the finest of all
My biggest issue with AEW is that I’m not a Moxley fan AT all. So it they push him to their top spot, I’m not going to have any interest in watching.

CM Punk just signed with Fox to be on their WWE show, so quit with the AEW pipe dream.

And according to him, it’s Fox. Nothing to do with WWE people.
Oddly enough, Fox’s whole angle is treating it like a legitimate sport, aka doing what AEW is doing.
Fox is going to improve Vince’s product immensely, or at least half of it.

Fox is completely in charge of the FS1 show. Their people are producing it. I'm sure Punk is a Fox employee now. Not sure how Rene Young and Booker T's contracts work.

meanwhile... as someone whose TV service ultimately comes from Dish Network...
I still don't have Fox due to their contract dispute

The problem with NXT is that it ultimately means nothing. Stars in NXT will eventually climb to the main roster and be wasted because the product is so different from Raw/Smackdown.
AEW is similar to Raw/Smackdown if they were booked more closely to NXT.
