I kinda understand both sides, but when it comes down to something like this I use the following:
LSU vs Bama happens every year. Every other year at hom. You only get married once.
But for real, it's not that hard to plan around it.

friends get married every year, sometimes more than one friend gets married the same year
if I miss yours, maybe I'll see you at the next one, no big deal

She is just not the type to go all weirdo over a wedding. Hell, I don't even think she knows much about weddings or wedding etiquette or anything.
Plus, she always backs whatever I choose in situations like that because, as Yeezy likes to tell me, my "snobbery has no limit".

just giving you a hard time. I actually have no problem with people scheduling their wedding on a gameday. just dont get mad when people skip. I skipped a friends wedding for a bama lsu game and he was close enough to be an usher at my wedding.
He didn't get mad though, in fact after i said I wasn't going and was going to the game, the brides family made her have a projector with the game on it.

Have 4 kids between them and I'm betting this broad is wearing white and getting married in a church.

No. Remember....my husnand is from AZ, his family and friends from AZ. Football culture is different here. People don't really get obsessed over it like in the South. And they certainly don't care about LSU.
As for my family..,,not a big football family either. I mean.,,they will watch a game on tv, but life doesn't revolve around it. I had 2 diehard LSU fans at my wedding, both of them very close friends of mine that said they wouldn't miss my wedding for anything and never once teased me or bitched about the date of the wedding. Both willing to help out with the wedding any way they could and did actually mean that. The rest of my LA friends like LSU....but are like me and my family....they will watch a game if it's on tv or go to a game if they get tickets, but if there is something else going on that day...no biggie to miss the game.
Oh and none of my friends or family or his friends or family hunt. Hunting isn't that big here in AZ and I havr actually never dated a guy that hunted tbh.

No shite, planning a wedding during football and hunting season is dumb if you want people to actually show up in the state of Louisiana.
All weddings and children being born should be done in the Summer months.

In bigger cities it doesn't work that way. In New Orleans you need to schedule at least a year before hand, and the schedule isn't available. Unless you just don't care about your venues and vendors.
Correct. Which is why when we got married in the New Orleans area, we scheduled our wedding for the spring...and I even took the time to pull up the Final Four dates for that year so there was no conflict.
Only thing we ended up scheduling it on was an LSU Baseball weekend.

We're not hunters. Deuce Midnight was born on the beginning of squirrel season - suffice it to say, he had sparse attendance at birthday parties growing up. At least it wasn't because they hated him.

Ever go to a wedding/do anything that you really didn't want to do or care about?

all the kids are for the guy and it's his second marriage

I wouldn't make travel plans and spend money on hotel, airfare, etc for a wedding I didn't really care about, I just wouldn't go.
But yes....I've been to larger weddings where I didn't realy know the couple that well so I know what you mean.

A wedding doesn't just "fall" on a certain date
