re: weather one uppers?

Had a couple of baws in the office this morning arguing about whose rain gauge was correct.

Rednecks are habitual one uppers. It’s what they do. Say something about a trip in which you made really good time, and he’ll tell you about a time his was faster.


There was a guy like that in my old army unit. No matter what you had done, where it was or how good looking she was, he’d done it better and his was hotter.

Once in the chow line I elbowed my buddy as he was walking by and was like “watch this”.

I say “deep sea fishing” kind of loud and the guy immediately starts into this one story about deep sea fishing.


fricking rednecks. They’ve got good qualities also.

I've seen better weather in the quad

habitual one-uppers are the best. I think it is the south's version of small talk, but there are some that just go over the top. It is fun to see how far you can get them to walk out onto the ledge.
