Wearing a different company logo to work

I have accepted a new job with a company. I have several button ups and polos that I have from my old company through the years. The shirts have the company logo on the chest. Is it acceptable to wear these shirts to my new job?
The two companies are not competitors. Not even in the same city. It seems a bit unprofessional but they are nice shirts and will just hang in the closet otherwise.

McDonald's was NOT happy when I showed up first day wearing my Church's gear

The easiest solution is save the shirts, but wear non-logo'd for the first couple weeks and see what others are doing.

Is there a name or something on the logo, or is it just some random artistic logo?

My general rule about most things are:
If you have to ask, don't do it.

i don't think it's disrespectful or anything
it's just weird to wear the logo'd clothing of companies you're not part of

Are you working in an office or will you been seen by clients/customers?
Working behind a desk: Who cares
The latter: Big no no

Working in the field mostly as a construction superintendent. A little office work. I guess I'll just hang them up for now.

I'd maybe keep a t-shirt from an old company. But polos and button ups are getting donated or trashed if I'm never going to work there again. Where would I ever wear that? I've got enough clothes that I don't need to rock the logo of a company O don't work for

I kept them all but I don't wear them to work. They are good for golf shirts or maybe wearing around on the weekend.

You think the Saints would be ok with Brees wearing his college jersey in a game? Its basically the same colors at least.

Yeah see what the culture is like there. If it's laid back and you have a few weeks on the job you will know what to do.

Let them hang.
Or bring them to Goodwill.

I did for about a week . Bossman had enough and gave me shirts he had stashed in the supply closet.

really depends on the job. I'd probably give them to someone that wears the same size that still works for your old company

If you were the worker getting dirty i would say no. But you seem to be a greater representative of the company. Dont do it. Keep a few for casual wear and donate rest to Goodwill.
