They will counter, we will respond, again and again then we will have 100,000 men in Iraq. Of course, with no allies now since we fricked the Kurds, etc.

Saudis will get drug in before long and evangelicals should rejoice because WW3 becomes real possibility. Trading in my Expedition next week before I have to give it away

Why do you think the deep state has been trying to bait him for the last couple years? First it was North Korea, but he wouldn't take the bait. Now, multiple attempts to use their Iranian proxies...

What do you think I used to do for a living bitch? It’s done, nothing to do but fly the flag now, we are basically already at war.

Or maybe you think the Iranians will just chill out and take it in stride. (Lol)

Define the war you envision.

I don’t see us getting into a nation building quagmire. I see us crippling the current regime and basic infrastructure to allow the rising tide of revolutionaries to expel the current theocracy.

Thats not usually how it works. Regimes under internal pressure use external threats as an excuse to crush the opposition with the tacit approval of the silent majority.

The LOL is you thinking this has a chance of leading lead to WWIII. Russia and China are not going to go all out versus the US.

George Washington thought avoiding foreign entanglements important enough to stress it in his farewell address. But no president in my lifetime has been able to resist, their campaign promises notwithstanding.

To be fair, he advised against getting involved in European affairs. But that was also when three countries in Europe controlled like 70% of the world.

I am basically retired from all this. I am not criticizing the strike, we debating taking this pos out many times. We could have done it dozens of times. He was responsible for the death of 100s of Americans. Would have probably been better now if we would have done it then.

I just don’t ever see the end to this shite. I thought trump promised to end our involvement in ME?

Taking out Iran would make the post war Iraqi fiasco look like a cake walk, and Russians would flood in like a swarm of locust

No it’s not. Ever a time would be if we directly attacked them. It’s not the 1800s anymore. Going all out war with a major power means throwing everything away. All for what? Iran?

It is probably not going to be WWIII. However it has the potential to be a lot more complicated and costly than some here are anticipating.

We are just winding down from the longest war in our history. A war we rushed into with little forethought and no recognition of the consequences. And here we are again, doing the same thing. Where are the posters from two or three years ago who were sick of war and vowed never again? Hell, where are the poliboard posters from last week who said Obama should have been impeached for drone assassinations without Congressional approval?
