quote:

Pearson, a futurologist and ex-cybernetics engineer, told us: "I would think in a lab we're probably a decade or 15 years away from that (technology).

"I don't think it will be very long after that before police are using it in interrogations, getting somebody in for questioning.

"Instead of a police officer asking questions, they'll stick a helmet on to decide what it is that's going through your mind.

Consider this - if 15 year old social media posts can destroy a career, what will it be like when any memory can be extracted and viewed in our minds 20 years from now?

Combine this with deep fake technology and we'll live in a world with no freedom and no way of believing anything.

It's a legitimate concern this can exist.

If we don't harness it, enemies of the state will. Other countries will.

Warrants for our mind will exist. They could be hacked and streamed. Imagine a futuristic device that could do this at a distance, wirelessly

It sounds absolutely miserable

Don’t think terrible things, and fix your minds on things above and not of this earth.

Id love to hear SCOTUS’ thoughts on this. Would set a record for quickest return of a unanimous vote. Gorsuch and Sotomayor would co-author.

I wonder what this elderly stroke victim was thinking when his house was broken into by thugs?

I'm thinking, "reparations?"
