On a serious note, I am interested to see how this thing works on in Syria. Russia is helping the Syrian government, the US is sort of backing the rebels.. are were backing the rebels.. Or were they just assisting Turkey in some way? Either way, us and Russia are on different sides of this. Then yesterday a Russian ambassador was shot because of Russia's support for Syria..
Anyone who knows more about this than me has any more insight?

Does anyone else find it disconcerting the Russians are happy with our choice of presidents?
I'm a cold war baby so it might just be my preconcieved notion that the only "good" Russian is a "dead" Russian

Yes. We need to adapt. It's a new world. It's just easier for people to associate enemies with countries and capital cities than with ideologies.

Yeah I don't see us striking up any deals with Russia unless it's extremely lucrative for Russia. I'd bet in three years they'll have every moose and squirrel in America!
