We still give our kids baskets, and they quit believing a long time ago.

Ya gotta believe to receive.
I figured it out. But I kept my mouth shut because I didn’t want to miss out on the presents.
It became a family tradition so me and my brother and our wives still get Santa presents.

Leave it to the OT to go from Kids and the easter bunny to is the husband the current father

He actually is. He's just not a fat man in a red suit.

if kids find out at school or something thats one thing. But for the parents that just come out and tell the kids, they are just lazy and horrible parents. That takes away the magic in these kids lives. They are only young once, let them believe as long as they possibly can, and enjoy it. They will have plenty of disappointents comming in life, just let them savor these little memories while they can. Its okay.

When my daughter was in 8th grade, one of her friends found out the truth about Santa and the Easter Bunny at a slumber party.
Do you know how cruel teenage girls can be? They were still making fun of her two years later.
There's a certain point where it is desirable to tell your kids the truth.
No. Just no. This is terrible advice. Do you have children?

Easter has become Christmas 2.0. He’s going to be pissed at school tomorrow when he hears about all of the toys he missed out on.

You've got at least one more tough conversation coming some Sunday morning.

I saw a comedy hypnosis show where the hypnotist asked onr of the people on stage where the Easter bunnie comes from and how is he able to lay so many eggs. The girl said all sorts of funny shite.

yes i have children. And i was a child once. All those 7th and 8th grare girls that were forced to "grow up and know the truth" were the ones sucking cock by 9th grade because they were more "mature" Let kids be kids, its okay

I shot a rabbit in the garden last night. Was he bringing gifts for Easter festivities or there for selfish reasons? He took the answer to his grave.

I teach high school. I see these supposedly traumatized kids who learned that there's no Santa at 8 every single day. I don't believe you. There are a lot of issues that are leading teens to go off the rails. Learning the truth about Santa is not one of them.
I also have two teens and one soon to be teen who are well-adjusted and are volunteering at a local soup kitchen this morning on Easter Sunday. This was their idea, not mine.
I'll take the risk of being honest with my kids when they ask me questions.

Don’t worry. We didn’t do that. My OP:
quote:
Our little boy informed us at Christmas that he knows Santa isn’t real. He asked my husband today, “I know you are the Easter Bunny. Does knowing this mean that I won’t have an Easter basket in the morning?”
To whoever asked - Yes, my husband is his father. Geez, y’all digress so easily. Happy Easter OT
