You and the rest of us are so spoiled to the modern lifestyle we are able to live because of cheap energy.

Does it cost a decent amount? Yeah, but we still have enough money to buy $80,000 vehicles that use a tom of it. We still fly across the country at a whim. We still are able to put kids in private school and travel ball year round.

You need to realize how cheap the energy is that we get and the insane amount of money that oil companies spend to extract it. Like another poster said, it is cheaper than milk. Which one is more important to the world every day? Easy choice.

Agreed on all counts
I’ve never been one to gripe fuel cost, sometimes it sucks but I’ve got to have it for work travel and at the end of the day $50 more a week in gas ain’t shite in the grand scheme of things for us. And you’re absolutely correct It’s truly amazing when you factor in how many different stages and middle men oil has to go through from drilling site choice to the pumps that we only pay what we do.

I was just making a point to the OP that some different form of energy isn’t gonna be some antidote to “cheap” energy prices like so many people think it’s gonna be. Energy companies will make their money and governments will get their regulatory cuts from it. It’s as simple as that.
