That sounds duplicitous, unless there are other “consequences” beyond the aforementioned separation?

Do you have children? I do. Why? Because I wanted them. I wanted to love them; to raise them, to teach them, guide them from infancy into adulthood- to enjoy them and to be enjoyed by them. There is nothing more rewarding than a right relationship between a child and his/her parents. Conversely, there is nothing more heartbreaking than a broken relationship between a child and his/her parents.

We exist because God wants us- to love us and be loved by us. He wants to raise us, to teach us and guide us- from infancy into adulthood; to become all that He has created us to be.

Why do we exist at all?

Been batting this idea around a lot lately. My conclusion is that we’re all expressions of the universe in different ways. A person is no different than a tree, we’re not better or worse, we’re simply different expressions of the same universe. Read: a human and a tree are just two ways that the universe can express itself.

Good and bad aren’t opposites, they’re just different. In that sense, there’s no dichotomy between good and bad, only different expressions.

Your connotation fails to account for the adverse effect of bad on other beings. Humans, for example, often suffer enormously from the bad actions or inactions of other humans. Harm and suffering are in no way an expression of universal balance.
