Anybody tuning in post A&M/SCAR? Did all of these people literally just walk in from the street and say "I can do the news. Can't be THAT hard..."

She seems to be having significant trouble reading off the prompter. And the first story she threw to some reporter who was reading (poorly) off her phone.
I just assume they pay a decent wage for this position. And I don't mean to insult this woman - it just seems like they threw her to the wolves.

No. Their meteorologist has a Sociology PhD who uses "Doctor" in his title.
The one with the child meteorologist is 33 WVLA.
We need Pat Shingleton and Mike Graham back. They still have some gas in the tank. Hell - I'd trust their forecasts if they just did it on Zoom from the house. Let's go.
(ETA: I don’t mean though to insult these gentlemen’s meteorological acumen. They’re both pretty trustworthy.)

WBRZ has one too. His name is Balin Rogers and he does literally look like a 14 year old. Complete with braces that make him lisp.
