Kind of like when Edwin Edwards made river boat casinos legal and all the money generated from casinos were suppose to go to education.. but didn't. Its the government.

Laughed about that just the other day. Wasn't gambling supposed to fix all our education woes? From teacher salaries to funding universities? Hmmm. frickin politicians.

Lafreniere had a pretty good soccer team in the late 80's/early 90's. That little rehead dude was quick.

Live at Lafreniere. Other random concerts from LPO. Fireworks show and concert at the 4th. Light show at Christmas. Dog park. Regular park maintenance. Newly updated walkways over one of the lakes. It's not that bad of a park. I'm glad to contribute such a small amount each pay period.

So I stopped paying them and parked my truck on top of the meter (it was in the ground) so they could not turn my water off. They finally gave me my money back but i had to fight them.

I got in a pissing match with the water dept in Bossier years back when they tried to say I used 25,000 gallons in a month. I asked how that was possible and they said I must have filled up my pool. I didn't have a pool. I didn't pay and they came and put a lock on the meter in the ground. My next door neighbor took it off for me as he had a key to the little league park and the Parish used the same padlock for EVERYTHING. I ran down and bought a lock of the same type and put it back on the valve but in the locked open position. They had a crew out there trying to figure out what was going on a week later. There wasn't room to reach in and cut the lock off so they left after saying they were going to have to come back and excavate the yard to get to the valve. I took it off that night and never heard back from them. A victory I guess. Never did pay that bill, just paid my regular monthly minimum and let the "late charges" pile up. Finally sold the house.
