People werent tissue paper soft back then and could take a joke without needing crawl into a safe space and contemplate about who needed to be sued.
God Al Bundy,Archie Bunker, George Jefferson were all hilarious characters in their time and today they'd all be racist/sexist bastards who would be ridiculed and pulled off the air after 1 episode in todays world of prima donnas

I like All in the Family and a lot of the other shows from the 60's, 70's, and 80's. I watch ME TV and Antenna TV more than anything else.

Do you really think these scenes are sympathetic to the Archie Bunkers of the world? The entire show was about making fun of these sorts of idiots. But We also felt sorry for Archie because he was a good guy at heart.
