Police will be hardliners this weekend in the name of public safety. Gotta make up for all the lost revenue from not writing the normal number of tickets for two months.

I notice they've been doing inspection sticker checkpoints at a higher frequency in the AP.

Gotta get those criminals off the streets.

People are driving in Nola like they are in a Mad Max movie.

Yep, the Mad Max morons are out today. Wrecks everywhere on the ride home. Took me twice the time to get home, because of a five vehicle accident.
Covid is gone and people are driving like its January 1 2020.

I don’t understand why people speed in the first place. A hefty fine and increased insurance rates isn’t worth getting home 5 minutes sooner to sit on the sofa/toilet to use social media. That’s what most people do.

Yup. Drove down I49 this AM and encountered several of those money grabbing...ahem, “safety” officers.
They weren’t harshing my buzz or anything—my company truck has an alarm that goes off at 70MPH, so I was cruising at 67 the whole trip. But, yeah, those frickers were out in full force.
